Music Bio:
My mother was from Mexico City, so I spent many summers there as a kid,
and was exposed to alot of latin american music. My father played the
ukulele and harmonica, and my step brother played guitar, and they were
big influences to me. I started playing guitar in high school, and played
in a few makeshift rock bands throughout college. I didn't realize my love
for latin american music conciously until about 4 years ago, though I know
it has always been there. I started studying latin american guitar and
flamenco at the Old town school of folk music several years ago, and
stumbled upon the Mariachi and Fandango ensembles. This is where I met the
guys that would become Cantaro, and the rest is history.
